Repairtech International, Inc. is seeking a skilled Conventional Machinist who possesses a deep understanding of the machining craft, beyond merely operating machinery and programming. We value expertise and craftsmanship in our team members.

This role is essential within our FAA-certified repair station, which specializes in mechanical repairs for aircraft components in both commercial and military aviation sectors. Our focus is on low production runs, where precision and meticulous attention to detail are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual lathes, mills, ID/OD grinders, and other machining tools to fabricate various steel and aluminum aircraft components.
  • Ensure adherence to tight tolerances and quality standards.
  • Engage in low production and prototype work, requiring a keen eye for detail.
  • Interpret shop routings and engineering drawings accurately.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with manual machining equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating manual lathes and mills.
  • Ability to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • A flexible mindset and a willingness to learn new skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with manual grinding equipment, particularly ID/OD grinders, will be considered advantageous.
