Key Responsibilities
  • Perform personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, with attention to patient safety and comfort.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring patients receive nutritious and enjoyable meals.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, as ordered by the healthcare team.
  • Provide skin care and prevention of pressure ulcers, promoting patient comfort and dignity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in respite care and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Ohio.
  • Maintain a current CPR certification.
  • Active listing on the state aide registry with a clear record.
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort in providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
