Role Summary:

This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate provision of prescribed medications and pharmaceutical care, adhering to established professional standards and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited institution and a valid pharmacy license obtained through a national licensure examination.
  • PharmD is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Current Nebraska state pharmacy license is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized pharmaceutical services aimed at enhancing medication use and therapeutic outcomes, including advising healthcare providers on drug therapy, toxicity, side effects, and appropriate dosing.
  • Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements and accuracy in prescription orders.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with medical and nursing personnel, providing essential information regarding pharmaceuticals, therapeutic alternatives, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct medication reviews to assess patient adherence and outcomes, making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results; educate patients on the proper use of medications.
  • Customize medication regimens based on sound pharmacological principles, ensuring the continuous improvement of pharmaceutical care delivery within assigned areas.
