Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ventilator Therapist to join our team at Montefino Ventilator Training.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of skill, knowledge, and compassion. As a Ventilator Therapist, you will work with patients who require respiratory care and support, providing essential direct medical care to help them recover and improve their quality of life.

You will be responsible for setting up and operating ventilators, administering therapeutic gas, and monitoring patient vital signs. You will also provide emergency care, including artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as needed.

Your duties will include determining requirements for treatment, such as type, method, and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken, and medication and dosages. You will also maintain accurate records of patient information and ensure careful adherence to physicians' orders.

In addition to your clinical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Respiratory Care Services: Provide essential direct medical care to patients who require respiratory support, including setting up and operating ventilators, administering therapeutic gas, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  2. Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including artificial respiration and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as needed.
  3. Treatment Planning: Determine requirements for treatment, such as type, method, and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken, and medication and dosages, compatible with physicians' orders.
  4. Patient Monitoring: Monitor patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physician if adverse reactions occur.
  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient information, including treatment plans, progress notes, and laboratory results.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Clinical Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy or a related field.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current certifications in CPR/AED and BLS, as well as any other relevant licenses or certifications.
  • Education: A degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary and Benefits
