Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at Capital Area Health Network.

About the Role

This position involves providing professional, quality medical services in our community health center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family medicine and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform physical examinations, determine x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required.
  • Interpret examination findings, test results, and implement treatment plans.
  • Prepare and review case histories, obtain data through interviews.
  • Provide comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to families.
  • Participate in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures according to training and ability.
  • Determine need for consultation, assist in medical care treatment provided by specialists.
  • Instruct other healthcare providers, non-medical personnel in health-related topics.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school and completed a residency program in family practice. You should also hold a valid license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia and a current DEA registration.

CAPITAL AREA HEALTH NETWORK offers a competitive salary range of $**175,000 - $225,000 per year**, plus a sign-on bonus, medical, dental, and vision insurance, prescription drug plan, flexible spending account, short-term disability, employer-paid life and AD&D insurance, 401(k) with 100% employer match up to 3%, paid holidays, paid time off, continuing education allowance, loan repayment through NHSC, and relocation assistance not to exceed $2,500.
