Position:
Housekeeping Assistant

Shift Details:
Part-time, Day Shift
Weekly Hours: 6.50

Compensation:
Starting Rate: $15 per hour

Department Details:
Work hours from 7am to 2:30pm, with one shift per week, including weekend and holiday rotation. Additional weekend incentive of $1.25/hour.

Job Summary:
As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Your duties will include:
  • Emptying waste receptacles
  • Cleaning and maintaining floors through sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing
  • Utilizing appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Maintaining cleanliness in various areas including patient rooms, hallways, and restrooms

Physical demands of the role include:
  • Frequent lifting and moving of up to 40-50 lbs
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Using proper protective equipment as required

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning. Familiarity with cleaning methods, materials, and equipment is beneficial. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
