Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Finastra's Loan IQ platform to address project and production challenges. The successful candidate will leverage the Loan IQ Software Development Kit (SDK) to craft effective solutions and develop custom APIs that enhance the Loan IQ functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and implement enhancements and extensions to the Loan IQ platform utilizing the Loan IQ SDK.
  • Develop robust and secure custom APIs tailored to meet business needs.
  • Provide expert technical support for both project and production-related issues, including debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather requirements, design comprehensive solutions, and ensure successful execution.
  • Maintain and optimize existing Loan IQ customizations, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards.
  • Engage in code reviews to uphold high-quality coding standards.
  • Work closely with operational teams to facilitate seamless deployment and functionality of Loan IQ features.
  • Document technical specifications, design methodologies, and API functionalities.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing expertise in the Loan IQ SDK.
  • Stay informed about the latest features and updates in the Loan IQ SDK.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of software development standards and best practices within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Java development, focusing on enterprise-level applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with Finastra's Loan IQ SDK and familiarity with its data model and business processes.
  • Proficient in creating and utilizing custom APIs within a financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and coding best practices.
  • Knowledge of database design and SQL, preferably with Oracle or similar RDBMS.
  • Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience with Loan IQ table maintenance and configuration.
  • Understanding of Loan IQ batch processing and accounting principles.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with source control management, continuous integration, and automated testing practices.
