About the Position

The primary role of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide high-quality, person-centered nursing care to our residents, adhering to their individualized care plans. The CNA will also assist the Charge Nurse with tasks to support department operations.

Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $21.50, with opportunities for credit based on experience. Additionally, a $4.00/hour shift differential and an extra $1.50 on weekends are available.

Available Schedules:

  • 9 shifts per pay period (52.5 hours per pay)
  • 3 shifts per pay period (24 hours per pay)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized attention, promoting each resident's ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Attend to the individual needs of residents, including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, catheter care, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, lifting, communicating, or other needs in keeping with the individuals' care requirements.
  • Ensure and maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents in the delivery of services to them. Interact with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report these changes to appropriate licensed nursing staff.
  • Perform various tasks assigned by the Charge Nurse, including checking vital signs, weighing residents, and applying creams/ointments.
  • Complete documentation of care provided and other information according to department policy.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CNA certification
  • CPR certification (preferred)
  • Experience with EMR and EHR systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
  • Previous experience in patient care and creating care plans
