Position Summary:

As a Surgical Tech, you will be part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in St. Louis Park, with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Center(s) as needed. We are looking for team members to support our growing services, with opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Center(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity, and caring.
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
  • Provide patient care and support during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and sterilization methods to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Certification through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs: CST (https:/// at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire -or- NCCT (/General/ at time of hire or obtain the certification within 36 months of hire.
  • Surgical tech experience required (would consider highly motivated new grad).
  • Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SPD experience preferred - Cross training to Sterile Processing.
  • Currently validated CPR skills or BLS certification is preferred.
