We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team in Buffalo, Rochester, Glens Falls, Albany, and Syracuse offices.

The Planning Group at LaBella Associates provides tailored services in redevelopment strategies, community and neighborhood planning, zoning, active transportation, market analysis, sustainability and resilience planning, grant services, and community engagement to a variety of municipal and private clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans, zoning updates, and other development regulations.
  • Lead and participate in public meetings and community engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and analyses, including land use plans, strategic downtown/economic development plans, and area/neighborhood plans.
  • Apply for and administer grants to support community development projects.
  • Manage projects, including scheduling, budgets, and client communications.
  • Develop and nurture client relationships, including proposal preparation.
Requirements
  • Broad understanding of planning principles, public outreach, and revitalization strategies.
  • Familiarity with grants and funding opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in GIS mapping and presentation/speaking skills.
  • Graphic skills and self-motivation with an eagerness to learn.
  • Outgoing personality and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year.
