The role of the Accounting Manager is pivotal in overseeing all financial dimensions of operational accounting as an integral part of the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate or oversee the creation of reports that summarize business activities, operational expenditures, and discrepancies.
- Assist in formulating internal control measures, standards, and compliance protocols.
- Ensure the proper division of responsibilities exists to protect company assets.
- Lead the accounting department to guarantee comprehensive training and sufficient coverage across all roles while fostering staff development.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process.
- Accountable for the preparation of weekly and monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
- Reconcile designated balance sheet accounts as required.
- Oversee and manage payroll operations.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors regarding quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory controls and ensuring accuracy.
- 5-7 years of experience in operational accounting.
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to review and validate financial documents and reports.
- Capable of preparing various financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Familiarity with modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to fiscal recordkeeping.
- Understanding of payroll systems, general ledger, accounts payable, and cost accounting.
- Familiar with accounting and auditing principles and practices.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles, training, and performance assessment.
