Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Migration Specialist to play a pivotal role in the migration of critical financial applications to the AWS cloud environment. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a significant modernization initiative within the Federal Reserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage the migration of complex financial applications from on-premise environments to AWS cloud.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding of IBM technologies (MQ, Secure Transport, Connect) and their integration with AWS cloud services.
  • Infrastructure Transition: Oversee the transition of on-premise UNIX/Solaris environments to AWS.
  • Data Migration: Plan and execute the migration of large-scale transactional data sets to the cloud, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal IT teams (TSD) and external partners, including the U.S. Treasury, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to cloud migration, providing innovative solutions and recommendations.
  • Security and Compliance: Adhere to strict security and compliance standards, ensuring the protection of sensitive financial data.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in IBM technologies (MQ, Secure Transport, Connect), AWS cloud services, and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring project progress.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud migration projects in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Experience with data migration tools and techniques.
