We are now seeking an experienced and committed shuttle-driver/art-hander to join our organization and help execute routine movements of valuable and fragile commodities.

About the Role

This critical position supports the interoffice transfers of artworks and objects, requiring proficiency in relocation-moving, art-handling, and packing skillsets. The role involves performing some client/residential/estate collections and working alongside a co-driver while on the road, as well as part of our Operation teams while docked at any of our given locations.

The primary home of our truck is Los Angeles, and as such, LA residence is preferred for this position.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous transportation operations, including monthly transfers between our LA/NYC locations, as well as between our LA/SF and NYC/BOS locations.
  • Responsibilities when working alongside our Ops teams include: truck loading/off-loading, item pulling/placing, barcoding/scanning, condition reporting, and soft packing.
  • Client service excellence; expected to represent Bonhams when working in the field and help build closer relations with our clients.
Key Skills and Attributes
  • Experience in long-haul trucking is mandatory.
  • Ability to work well on your own and participate meaningfully in team settings and alongside an assigned co-driver.
  • Clean driving record with no history of major infractions or accidents; background check required.
  • Valid Driver's License (no CDL required).
  • Experienced in operating/driving box trucks.
  • Experienced in art handling/relocation moving/packing.
  • Exceptional punctuality and reliability.
