Multi-Unit Team Leader

At H&R Block, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Unit Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our tax office teams, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices, working closely with Associate Team Leaders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to develop and implement office-level growth plans, client growth targets, and local partnerships.
  • Recruit and interview candidates for tax office associate positions, ensuring the best fit for our team.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews, address performance concerns, and resolve associate issues with the Associate Relations Center.
  • Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules across all offices.
  • Travel between offices as required, ensuring consistency and quality across all locations.
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Requirements:
  • Proven people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for growth plan execution and ability to lead towards a growth culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills, with the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset that seeks to understand and exceed client needs.
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to use MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or high school diploma with the equivalent combination of experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
