Director of Nursing Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing Services to join our team at HealthWays, Inc. in Weirton, WV. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in supervisory and leadership roles. You will be responsible for coordinating services and support, including nursing services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate nursing services, including the completion of person care certifications and nursing plans of care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA and first aid training.
- Provide relief for staff RNs as required and perform needed record keeping.
- Develop and implement effective training programs for staff development.
- Collaborate with the CEO and other leaders to achieve organizational goals.
- West Virginia RN license or immediate eligibility for such license.
- Appropriate professional license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong understanding of mental illness, behavioral sciences, and care and treatment of MR/DD and clients with psychiatric conditions.
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations, using independent judgment and initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
