Digital Photography Instructor Opportunity at San Jacinto College

San Jacinto College is committed to providing high-quality education to its students. As a part of this commitment, the college is seeking a highly qualified Digital Photography instructor to teach Digital Photography related course work as part of its diverse range of programs. The ideal candidate will be a working photographer with experience using DSLR cameras and a strong understanding of Mac OS and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a professional background in photography. Prior experience in teaching higher education is also highly desirable. The instructor will be expected to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the college. This may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location. The instructor will also be expected to follow the college's policies and procedures, including those related to student evaluation and assessment.

The salary for this position will be based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year and is expected to be in the range of $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Please note that this is an estimate and may vary based on qualifications and experience.

**Required Qualifications: **

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional experience as a working photographer using DSLR cameras.
