Job Summary

Foster Farms is seeking a skilled Ranch Laborer to join our team in poultry production. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the ranch and its fryers, ensuring the highest level of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Maintaining Ranch Operations: Feed, mortality removal, equipment adjustments, sanitation, and other essential tasks to ensure smooth farm operations.
  • Support Grow Out Program: Assist with ranch setup, brooding, temperatures, ventilation, mortality, vaccination, and medication to meet the highest level of quality and productivity.
  • Coordinate Feed Deliveries and Inventory: Maintain accurate feed and fuel inventories and ensure proper growing methods.
  • Maintain Facilities and Equipment: Ensure optimal usage and good appearance of facilities and equipment.
  • Assist with Sanitation and Disease Protection: Learn about and assist with maintaining sanitation conditions and disease protection procedures.
  • Maintain Industrial Safety, Animal Welfare, and Bio-Security: Report any problems directly to the Ranch Manager or Field Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Self-Motivation and Minimal Supervision: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Mathematical and Organizational Skills: Must have good mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Lifting and Moving: Must be able to lift and move 75 pounds.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Preferably, will have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Communication Skills: Must have good verbal and written communication skills (Basic English).
  • Supervisory and Leadership Skills: Must possess or be able to learn supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Must be able to work as scheduled/needed to include overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Company Standards and Policies: Must be able to follow company standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Ability to Work at Other Ranches/Complexes: Must have the ability to work at other ranches/complexes as needed.
