Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in the direction of nursing services, ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with state laws and regulations.
  • Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their performance and providing guidance as needed.
  • Conduct regular patient assessments, identifying any signs of adverse changes in physical or mental condition.
  • Notify attending physicians of emergencies and deaths, implementing changes in orders as instructed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Willingness to work as charge nurse and cover shifts during emergencies.
  • Ability to provide quality patient care, follow doctor's orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Regular attendance at in-service training and staff meetings.
