Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Continuous Visual Telemonitor Specialist to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital - Nashua, NH. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support through continuous visual monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor up to ten patients simultaneously, maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, hospital staff, and other stakeholders using a microphone and headset.
  • Respond promptly to patient behavioral changes and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the telemonitoring software.
  • Perform hourly virtual rounds, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Activate Stat Alarm in emergency situations and notify floor staff accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Gatekeeper and other nurse leaders to identify patients for removal from continuous telemonitoring.
Requirements
  • Basic computer operation skills and Microsoft Windows experience.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred, with healthcare experience and licensed nursing assistant certification a plus.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching, with occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high-level responsibility for quality care is expected.
