Quick Lube Technician Responsibilities:
- Assess and communicate oil levels to team members
- Ensure proper tire pressure
- Inspect and replenish fluid levels as needed
- Conduct vehicle inspections
- Install new oil drain plugs and filters
- Clean and lubricate fittings as required
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on the customer’s perspective
Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks outlined in the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
- Test-drive vehicles and assess components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional services needed, providing time estimates for repairs
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership
- Strong understanding of the service drive
- Experience levels vary by position
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dexterity, requiring steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly demeanor with a customer service mindset
- Enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment
- Team player with effective collaboration skills
- Ability to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and specifications
- Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background checks
