Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at RBC Capital Markets, LLC. As a key member of our Technology Strategy and Architecture Transformation group, you will play a crucial role in assessing opportunities across the US Tech landscape and driving strategic improvements and innovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the technology strategy for process engineering and optimization initiatives.
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the standardization of process automation solutions leveraging advanced technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
  • Define and drive the digitization of manual processes to streamline operations and improve scalability.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and data-driven insights to inform process improvements and decision-making.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of process changes.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to ensure that process improvements are aligned with the overall technology architecture.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the RBC US Technology organization.
  • Encourage experimentation with new technologies and methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, tech teams, and other functional areas to understand requirements and priorities.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication to ensure successful implementation of technology-driven process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in process engineering, technology strategy, or a related discipline within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience as a Development Lead or similar role, with a strong track record of managing software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, systems integration, and technology transformation processes.
  • Proficiency in process modeling tools and methodologies, such as BPMN, Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development practices, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies, data analytics, and microservices architecture.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and process enhancements.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Experience in developing and implementing technology roadmaps and strategic plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in leading large-scale process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams and organizational levels.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly within wealth management, private banking, capital markets, and commercial banking.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the financial sector.
