Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our litigation support team, you will provide expert paralegal support to our clients, working closely with our attorneys to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, accurate, and timely paralegal support to our clients, including research, document review, and trial preparation.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, and trial.
  • Develop and maintain complex databases and spreadsheets to track case milestones and document case progress.
  • Prepare legal memoranda, correspondence, and other documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of Paralegal degree or certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of prior relevant experience or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five or more years of litigation paralegal experience with trial experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Experience performing legal research and writing.
  • Experience preparing legal memoranda and correspondence.
  • Experience assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation, including aiding with discovery requests and responses; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; drafting motions and briefs; organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices; and assisting at trial.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Experience consistently delivering highest quality work under pressure.
  • Hands-on experience or training with ESI tools and general knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
  • Hands-on experience or training using relational databases to track the steps occurring in litigation and to document case milestones.
  • Ability to summarize legal issues and facts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Law degree desired.
  • Prior experience working in a Federal Government environment.
