Our Team:
The VMRC Therapy team has recently transitioned from a contracted team to in-house. We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. As a vital member, you will have the opportunity to support residents in meeting their therapy goals and improving their quality of life.
Job Qualifications:
- Assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Physical Therapy Assistant state license; CPR certification
- Education: Graduate of an accredited therapy program
Responsibilities:
- Work effectively to comply with policies of all VMRC areas. Collaborate with team members to meet resident needs across the VMRC campus.
- Effectively work with other members of the VMRC team to provide in-service's and education to meet individual resident/patient needs according to standard, regulations, gaps in service delivery, and initiatives.
- Provide services under the direction of licensed physical therapist.
- Contribute to a physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
- Administer treatment programs for residents and patients.
- Document patient care services according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures.
- Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities.
- Help patients use supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
