Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Unit

Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team on the Day Shift. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med/Surg nursing and excellent communication skills. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for evaluating assigned patients, planning and implementing nursing care, and promoting patients' independence by teaching them and their families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute care hospital Med/Surg unit preferred
  • Orthopedics experience highly desired
  • Telemetry experience preferred
