Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at the Schriever Space Force Base. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our military members and their families.

About the Role:

  • Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Prepare patients for dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Sterilize dental instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments, managing the dental office calendar efficiently.
  • Manage dental office inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked environment.
  • Perform administrative duties, including data collection, meetings, and training, to support the dental team.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • Recognized Dental Assistant certification from the U.S. Department of Education accreditation programs.
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a dental assistant or 6 months military dental assistant training and experience.
  • Experience with taking dental radiographs, maintaining dental equipment, and assisting dentists in patient treatment.
  • Compliance with health requirements, including immunizations and annual TB screening.
