TMS International is the leading provider of on-site industrial steel mill services. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our partners' manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform daily maintenance checks and ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Safely and efficiently move and distribute materials as required.
- Collaborate with team members on site to support project goals.
- Follow project plans and blueprints to meet project specifications.
- Adhere to environmental and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator or similar role.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for heavy equipment operation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or licenses are a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
