Gwynedd Manufacturing, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products meets the required standards.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System for the CNC machining and assembly departments.
- Review and improve systems and processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Inspect and test processes and products to ensure they meet or exceed quality standards.
- Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify opportunities for improvement and establish controls to eliminate waste.
- Establish and implement quality standards, create quality documentation, and develop inspection reports.
- Work closely with Engineers to minimize risk by identifying critical characteristics on products and providing training on measurement techniques and quality improvement tools.
- Communicate quality-related issues with customers, engineering teams, and suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ) preferred.
- Experience with programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), inspection of machine components, and performance of gage R&R studies preferred.
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal auditor preferred.
- Experience in CAPA, root cause analysis, and 8D.
