Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Observation Posts: Ensure the security of our property by maintaining observation posts throughout the premises.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain various logs required for information purposes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of events.
  • Secure Entry and Exit: Maintain secure entry and exit points to the Casino, ensuring the safety and security of our patrons and employees.
  • Roving Security: Rove throughout the property, staying alert to potential issues that may result in injury, damage to property, or theft of monies or valuables.
  • Intensive Cash Operations: Ensure the safety and security of intensive cash operations, maintaining a high level of vigilance and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Promote an outgoing, friendly, and customer-oriented personality at all times, providing exceptional service to our patrons.
  • Basic Security Coverage: Provide basic security coverage, ensuring adequate protection is provided for the safety and assets of our patrons, employees, and the company.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred, along with prior security experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Communication Skills: Must have basic telephone and two-way radio skills, along with clear writing skills.
  • Physical Demands: Position requires a detail-oriented individual with good customer service skills who is capable of working in a high-intensity atmosphere. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and push at least 100 pounds.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle License: Must have a valid Motor Vehicle License with a good driving record.
  • Radio Earphone Use: Must be able to wear a radio earphone without any medical limitations.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, climb steps, respond to emergency situations, and handle basic duties and responsibilities of the position.
Work Environment
  • Casino Environment: May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Employment Practices

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting, and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

As part of Seminole Gaming's employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to, credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screens.
