Position Overview:

Certified Nursing Assistant - Medical Surgical Unit (Part-Time)
  • Professional caregiver certified to provide assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Accountable for delivering designated care within the defined scope of practice.
  • Equipped with the knowledge to interact with patients across all age demographics.
  • All personnel are expected to consistently uphold safety protocols and initiatives.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.
  • Valid Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course in an accredited nursing program, along with validation of a clinical rotation appropriate to the educational level.
  • Certifications relevant to the unit include:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • LTA (Licensed Technical Assistant)
    • CNA Patient Deterioration
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology is required.
