Dental Assistant II Position

Job Summary:
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Part-time Dental Assistant II to join our team at our Seattle Dental Clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide chair-side assistance to dental providers using four-handed dentistry techniques. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a formal dental assistant program, and a minimum of 6 months of work experience. Registered dental assistants with the Washington State Department of Health and current BLS CPR certification are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient education and instructions before, during, and after dental procedures.
- Obtain accurate blood pressure readings and other vital signs as directed by dental providers.
- Assist patients with treatment plans, cost estimates, and sequencing of treatments.
- Complete insurance pre-authorizations and verify patient eligibility and benefits.
- Assist in training new employees and dental trainees.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal dental assistant program.
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience.
- Registered dental assistant with the Washington State Department of Health.
- Current BLS CPR certification.
