Overview

Catholic Health Initiatives and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health have come together to create a new health system centered around the patient. Our combined system brings together nearly 300 sites of care, including 11 hospitals and nearly 5000 physicians and providers. This partnership enables us to make a greater impact on the health and well-being of our communities.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced physician to serve as our Chief Resident in the St. Joseph Internal Medicine Residency Program. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to help build and shape our program, develop your teaching and leadership skills, and contribute to the growth and success of our residency program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling, planning, and facilitating individual resident and educational conferences
  • Participating in recruitment activities for our next class of physicians
  • Planning, teaching, and implementing our primary care curriculum
  • Precepting in our outpatient internal medicine clinic as an attending physician
  • Participating in quality improvement, patient safety, and/or scholarly activities with residents

Requirements include:

  • Graduation from an Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Board eligible/certified (ABIM)
