Quest Diagnostics stands as a premier provider of Worksite Wellness Screenings, Immunizations, and health enhancement initiatives. Our Healthcare Professionals travel to various organizations to conduct screenings and administer immunizations for their workforce. During a wellness screening, a healthcare professional will gather essential measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure, waist and/or hip circumference, along with a finger stick for glucose and cholesterol assessments. These events are scheduled during standard business hours. If you can commit to at least two weekdays consistently, this role may be an excellent fit for you.
  • In addition to wellness and immunization events, there may be opportunities to participate in COVID-related events, including observed collections for PCR testing, temperature checks, and COVID Booster vaccinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct biometric screenings at client locations, including finger stick blood collection.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service during all health screenings and immunization clinics.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and legible documentation.
  • Engage in training and continuing education programs as required.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the workplace, including the use of necessary protective equipment to mitigate exposure to potentially infectious materials.
  • Understand and comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Follow quality assurance protocols and good manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards during events.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
  • High School diploma/GED and/or valid medical license (Nursing license).
  • Formal medical education with current appropriate medical certification.
  • Additional medical certification/licensure as mandated by state or regulatory standards.

Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Completion of a fingerstick procedure within the last 1-2 years.
  • Proficient in finger stick blood collection techniques and manual blood pressure assessment.
  • At least one year of experience with immunizations/IM injections.
  • Experience with CardioChek machines is preferred.
  • Leadership skills necessary for proper specimen handling, labeling, processing, preparation, transportation, and storage.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Wellness screenings typically occur in corporate or conference room settings.
  • Travel to screening event locations is required – willingness to travel within a 30-mile radius is essential.
  • Ability to lift light to moderately heavy objects, with duties potentially requiring lifting and carrying items up to 40 pounds.
  • Fine motor skills and steadiness are necessary.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Adherence to COVID-19 safety measures is mandatory.
  • Remote interview processes are available.
  • Personal protective equipment will be provided or required.
  • Temperature screenings and sanitization procedures will be in place.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination may be requested upon onboarding.
  • All necessary protective gear will be supplied on-site.
