Litigation Attorney for Retail Compliance

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team at Costco Wholesale in Issaquah, WA. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a vital role in handling claims and litigation-related matters.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

  • Analyze potential claims and develop strategies to eliminate or minimize liability.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on lawsuits and other claims, manage outside counsel, and collaborate with business teams.
  • Review and comment on legal briefs and motions prepared by outside counsel.
  • Assist outside counsel with discovery responses and preparation of witnesses.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school required.
  • Admission in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. state, and eligible to practice as in-house counsel in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience as a civil litigator required; experience in retail environment and consumer class actions preferred.

**Compensation Package:*

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000, depending upon years of legal experience. In addition to annual base salary, the total compensation package includes an annual grant of restricted stock units ("RSUs") and an annual bonus (based on company and individual performance).
