Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the PACU, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and tools needed to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians and internal administrators to ensure seamless communication and optimal patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify areas for professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as an RN in the PACU or a similar critical care setting.
  • Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., CCRN, CNOR) preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
