About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The hourly range for this position is $34.06 - $52.55, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance, 401(K), education assistance, and many more perks.

About the Job

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparing the patient for the exam.
  • Performing exams per department protocol.
  • Understanding cross-sectional anatomy and demonstrating anatomical positioning competency.
  • Familiarity with the ALARA program and following proper radiation safety protocol.
  • Demonstrating ability to critique own films.
  • Completing studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of protocol relating to contrast administration.
  • Administering oral barium products or intravenous contrast material to patients as ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision.
  • Practicing appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
  • Providing appropriate patient education and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Understanding and operating CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure that quality images are produced.
  • Exhibiting working knowledge of contrast injectors and laser printers.
  • Exhibiting understanding and proficiency with electronic imaging.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Radiography certification/registration (ARRT).
  • Relevant Utah State licensure.
  • Demonstrated CT proficiency.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (healthcare).
  • Post-hire expectation: Meets departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire.
  • Post-hire expectation: (Where applicable) Must complete the controlled substance module within six months of hire.
  • Post-hire expectation: (Where applicable) Must complete the initial moderate sedation module within six months of hire.
