Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Oncology Department on a PRN basis. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a clinical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care
- Render high-quality patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with Northside Hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Nursing Care Planning
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team
- Work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Education and Licensure
- Graduate from an approved school of practical nursing.
- Current State of Georgia or Multi-state/compact professional license.
- Clinical Skills
- Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills.
- Current, valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (CPR and AED) Program card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical Experience
- Intravenous (IV) lines, catheters, and port experience.
- Previous experience in a specialty area or acute care environment.
