Key ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Care Technician is accountable for providing nursing care as directed within their scope of practice. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with daily living activities for patients.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Communicating effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Licensure and/or certification is preferred.
- BLS healthcare provider certification is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred, especially for floating to specialized units.
- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
