GPAC is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in Michigan. This role involves traveling to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair advanced manufacturing machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics and possess excellent problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Commissioning:
    • Install, set up, and commission manufacturing machinery and equipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repair:
    • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs on complex machinery to minimize downtime.
    • Recommend and implement preventive measures to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Technical Assistance:
    • Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to resolve operational issues and optimize machine functionality.
    • Document all service activities and share insights with the engineering team for continuous improvement.
  • Client Training:
    • Train clients' personnel on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
    • Develop user-friendly documentation and guidelines.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal teams such as design, engineering, and sales to address customer feedback and technical challenges.
    • Assist in testing and validating equipment modifications or upgrades.
  • Travel:
    • Regularly travel to customer sites within assigned regions, with occasional overnight stays as required.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company policies during field operations.
    • Ensure compliance with customer-specific protocols and industry guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience servicing manufacturing machinery, industrial automation, or related equipment.
  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
What We Offer
  • $80,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
