Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to veterinarians and other staff members
  • Assist with emergency and critical care procedures, including triage, stabilization, and treatment of patients
  • Administer medications, perform laboratory tests, and assist with medical procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency and critical care setting
  • Demonstrated excellence in nursing care and critical thinking skills
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and limited on-call duties
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the role
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluids
  • Ninja-like reflexes to handle surprise tail wags and unexpected bodily fluid encounters
  • Skilled in obtaining and analyzing laboratory samples (blood, urine, and stool)
  • Expertise in interpreting meows, barks, and chirps—telepathic skills are a plus
  • Experience in catheter placement
  • Possesses the stamina of an athlete to keep up with lively kitties and energetic puppies
  • Capable of monitoring patients under anesthesia (ventilator experience is a plus)
  • Strong time management, initiative, and task prioritization skills
