Workforce Center Manager

This position provides leadership and management duties in the Workforce Center Division of the Department of Human Services. The successful candidate will participate fully in the Workforce Center leadership team and oversee the Child Support unit, Colorado Works, Child Care Assistance, Employment Services, Career Development Program, and GED services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direction, leadership, and goal setting to supervisors in various programs
- Assist the Director in developing strategic plans and writing policy documents
- Plan daily operations and make recommendations on resources, needs, and operations
- Develop and lead internal leadership training programs
- Address internal and external complaints
- Assist the Director in identifying funding and grant opportunities
- Develop partnerships and proposals in response to solicitations from state and local governments
- Develop and monitor performance plans and reporting for programs
- Participate in statewide meetings and advocate on behalf of Mesa County and the Southwest region
- Lead efforts with program partners to discuss and implement initiatives and programs
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff
- Approve, limit, or deny leave requests and process recommendations for promotions, transfers, or dismissals
- Review program standards to ensure compliance with mandated regulations
- Analyze data and trends in designated programs to adjust and improve program service delivery
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and customer service in all WFC programs
- Implement and sustain a collaborative design throughout all WFC programs
- Assist the Director with completion of Expenditure Authorizations and modifications, program contracts, grant proposals, and budgets
- Strong communication and team building skills

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of management experience. Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
