Job Title: Corporate Attorney
About the Role:
Atalanta Corporation, a leading North American food importing company, is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join its Elizabeth NJ-based legal department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional, data privacy, corporate governance, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and labor and employment law matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor, customer, employment, technology, lease, and confidentiality agreements.
• Researching and advising the company with respect to applicable data security and privacy compliance obligations, both domestic and international.
• Preparing and revising corporate documents, including certificates of incorporation, certificates of amendment, and bylaws, and providing corporate governance support.
• Developing corporate policies and procedures, guidelines, legal forms and templates, and resource materials.
• Conducting due diligence with business partners for regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor Degree.
• Member in good standing of the NJ state bar.
• 10 or more years of general corporate law experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Strong work ethic and a proven ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
• Excellent research, project management, and communication skills.
