About You

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team.

You will be responsible for collecting, sorting, and loading soiled linen into the washer(s) and loading clean linens into the dryer(s), folding clean linens, counting and recording the linen processed each day, making proper deliveries to units, and cleaning and sanitizing the work area.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, and load soiled linen into the washer(s) and load clean linens into the dryer(s)
  • Fold clean linens, count and record the linen processed each day
  • Make proper deliveries to units and clean and sanitize the work area
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety precautions
  • Report equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
  • Ensure the established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is achieved at all times
  • Follow proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures/techniques
  • Consistent attendance and punctual arrival
  • Timely completion of assigned tasks according to schedule
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
  • Positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests

Qualifications

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and you must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
