Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments of laboring patients, including vital signs, contraction patterns, fetal heart rates, and overall well-being.
- Administer medications, manage pain relief options, and assist with various medical procedures as needed.
- Offer emotional support and education to patients and families regarding childbirth and newborn care.
- Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe delivery and address any complications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, care provided, and any changes in patient condition.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including labor complications or unexpected changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care, including discharge instructions.
- Provide care for the mother and newborn post-delivery, including assessments and support for breastfeeding and recovery.
- 01-year relevant experience
- Graduate of accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Current CA State RN License.
