Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician Opportunity in Western North Carolina

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to provide ongoing, supplemental coverage at a well-established hospital in western North Carolina. This locum tenens opportunity offers flexible call coverage and the chance to work in a supportive environment.
Position OverviewThis role is ideal for a skilled OB/GYN Physician seeking a temporary position with a range of obstetric cases, including low- and high-risk pregnancies, VBACs, and breech deliveries. You will have the opportunity to manage a range of gynecologic services, including minor procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic procedures, and operative gynecological surgeries.
The hospital has a bed capacity of 11 in the OB/GYN department and supports staff includes 3 RNs and a team of 15 office staff members. The estimated credentialing timeframe is 30 days, with temporary privileges available.
Key Responsibilities- Focus on both routine and complex deliveries, with an annual average of 215 deliveries.
- Manage a range of obstetric cases, including low- and high-risk pregnancies, VBACs, and breech deliveries.
- Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds, including viability and targeted anatomical scans.
- Conduct minor gynecological procedures, including IUD insertions and cryosurgery.
- Manage laparoscopic diagnostic procedures and operative gynecological surgeries such as ectopic pregnancies and cystectomies.
- Board Certification: Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Licensing: North Carolina license required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification.
- Experience: Fellowship preferred but not mandatory.
- Credentialing Support: Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days, with temporary privileges available.
