Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Care Professional to join our Vetco Total Care veterinary full-service hospital team. As a key member of our hospital, you will be responsible for providing top-notch patient care, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Provide Quality Patient Care">
    • ">
    • Document all patient observations, findings, treatments, and diagnoses in a concise manner.">
    • Perform routine and complex dental procedures, including extractions and oral surgical procedures.">
    • Transition patients to overnight care as needed and communicate effectively with referral hospitals.">

  • Collaborate with Colleagues">
    • ">
    • Participate in rounds and share knowledge with staff to improve care and communication.">
    • Disseminate information throughout the team to enhance patient care and client satisfaction.">
    ">
  • Supervision and Problem-Solving">
    • ">
    • Take direct supervision from the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director.">
    • Exercise discretion when making decisions regarding patient care, upholding standards set forth in Petco Veterinary SOPs.">
    • Address problems promptly and contribute to a cohesive, well-trained, and motivated team.">

  • Qualifications">
    • ">
    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited school.">
    • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.">
    • Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located.">
    • Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals.">
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.">
    • Ability to learn new techniques and adapt to changing situations.">

Benefits and Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
