Responsibilities

  • Conduct job-site surveys of food and beverage plants and utility systems.
  • Develop project documentation including drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
  • Select and apply system equipment to new and existing systems.
  • Coordinate technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering.
  • At least five years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
  • PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with food plant projects.
  • HVAC experience.
  • Experience developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for food and/or industrial projects.
  • Chilled water/hydronic design experience.
  • Familiarity with managing project invoices.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced staff.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000-$110,000 based on industry standards and location.
