Role SummaryThe non-volatile memory team at GlobalFoundries aims to understand the fundamentals of non-volatile memory devices and determine how they can be deployed to meet customer requirements. This involves understanding the complex physics underlying emerging memory technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a physical model for device operation using TCAD and device engineering.
- Build a simulation framework to extract key figure of merit data.
- Analyze experiment results to validate physical models and simulations.
- Present project status to peers and leadership as needed.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
- Education: At least a sophomore, actively pursuing a Master's or PhD in Device Physics, Physics, Electro Chemistry, or related field.
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience.
- Project management skills, including innovation and execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning & organizational skills.
- Familiarity with TCAD simulation tools.
