We're seeking a skilled Locum Physician Hematology/Oncology Specialist to join our team at a top-rated healthcare facility. As a Locum Tenens physician, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with a talented team of healthcare professionals.
About the JobThis is a temporary assignment, lasting 13 weeks, with a competitive hourly rate of $425-$450. The schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, with a start time of 19:00 and end time of 07:00. We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced physician to fill this role, with a strong understanding of Hematology/Oncology principles and treatments.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with blood disorders and various cancers, including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other treatment modalities.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients, including developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, managing side effects, and coordinating care with other specialists.
- Consult with other physicians and members of the healthcare team on complex hematological and oncological cases.
- Provide patient education about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management, to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and provide ongoing support.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Fellowship training in Hem/Onc.
- Board certification in hematology and/or oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Washington.
- Competitive hourly rate of $425-$450.
- 13-week temporary assignment.
- 5x8-hour shifts with a start time of 19:00 and end time of 07:00.
