Job Title: Sr Clinical Applications Analyst

Job Summary:
The Sr Clinical Applications Analyst will serve as a liaison between IT and clinical service lines, facilitating the design of clinical workflow and providing guidance to Clinical Analysts. This role will lead needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting, as well as troubleshoot application issues and maintain system security.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting.
  • Facilitate design of clinical workflow in conjunction with clinicians and provide guidance to Clinical Analysts.
  • Lead unit and integrated testing of software to ensure design objectives are met.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, with/without vendor assistance, to resolution.
  • Maintain system security for assigned applications.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery and Back Up requirements for assigned systems.
  • Act as team project lead in partnership with Project Management Office on all phases of a project.
  • Mentor System Analysts.
  • Develop policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians and IT Clinical team manager.
  • Support and troubleshoot Hospital Information Systems interfaces for inbound/outbound and billing orders.
  • Create reports and assign work problem tickets to Application Analysts.
  • Evaluate and maintain appropriate system documentation.
  • Collaborate with other clinical and application analysts to ensure system integrations.

Qualifications:
  • High School Equivalent / GED Required.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • 3+ years Experience in Healthcare IT environment supporting clinical applications.
  • 2+ years Clinical experience highly desired.
  • Prior Radiation Oncology Application Support Strongly Preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Notable client service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office/MS Visio/MS Project.
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards desired.
  • Knowledge of LAN, DNS, and networking.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Ability to work with servers and apply software upgrades.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience with HL7 Interfaces.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL-based applications.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • CPHIMS or other professional certification highly desired.
