We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Technical Program Management to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our Enterprise product and platform organization, you will be responsible for leading programs that deliver critical business goals and building large-scale products and platforms.

About the Team

As a Director of Technical Program Management on Capital One's Enterprise product and platform organization, you will be part of a team that builds solid platforms on mobile and web surfaces that will help Capital One customers have incredible experiences. The platforms are the foundational blocks on which Capital One's various lines of businesses (like credit card, retail banking, auto finance) will build delightful experiences for our customers.

In addition to the technical program, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead programs that deliver critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms
  • Develop and execute technical program management strategies to drive business outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and technical teams
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform technical program management strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
  • At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs
  • Experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
  • Experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture
  • Experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms
  • Experience with Agile delivery
  • Experience delivering large and complex programs
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams of data scientists, AI researchers, ML engineers, and product managers
